Changes develop as tissue remodelsAn introduction to Sofwave
Renew within
the skin.
Sofwave uses controlled ultrasound energy in the mid-dermis while integrated cooling helps protect the skin surface. The system is cleared for several aesthetic uses, and Our current booking menu lists Sofwave options for the face, brows and eyes, neck, acne scarring and body. Your consultation determines which area and goal are appropriate. [1]
01Face, lines & wrinkles
Sofwave is FDA-cleared to improve facial lines and wrinkles. We list full-face and lower-face appointments; your provider should map the treatment around your anatomy and goals.
02Brows, under the chin & neck
Cleared lifting indications include the eyebrow, lax tissue beneath the chin and the neck. We also list brows/eyes and neck combinations in our current service menu.
03Acne scars & body options
The system is cleared to treat acne scars, improve upper-arm skin laxity and provide short-term improvement in the appearance of cellulite. We list acne-scarring and body appointments; confirm the exact area and intended goal before booking.
A noninvasive treatment cannot reproduce a surgical lift. Ask your provider to compare the likely degree of change, alternatives and timing for your concern.
Your appointment, considered
Your starting point.
A considered next step.
Understand the approach.
Know what to expect.
- 01
Begin with an assessment.
Share the changes you have noticed, your medical history, medicines, implants and prior aesthetic treatments. Discuss alternatives and the complete treatment plan before deciding.
- 02
Plan the treatment together.
Your provider applies the handpiece to mapped areas and delivers ultrasound pulses while contact cooling supports comfort and surface protection. Sensation varies; ask about preparation and comfort measures.
- 03
Make follow-up part of the plan.
Get written aftercare and agree on when to evaluate the response. Know which changes are expected and how to contact our team if pain, redness, swelling or another symptom concerns you.

Room for a gradual response
Let time be
part of the plan.
Tissue remodeling takes time. Decide how and when you will evaluate improvement with your provider.
After the appointment
Redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur. Follow your provider’s instructions and plan around your own response rather than assuming there will be no visible effects.
As the skin responds
Changes from ultrasound treatment are expected to develop gradually. The pace and degree of improvement vary with the concern, area and individual response.
At your review
Compare progress with your starting point before deciding on further care. Your provider can explain whether another session or a different treatment makes sense.

An informed decision
Choose with care.
Understand the risks.
Start with suitability
Open wounds or lesions, severe or cystic acne, and pacemakers or electronic implants in the treatment area are contraindications. Tell your provider about pregnancy or breastfeeding, infections, skin conditions, scarring, metal implants, fillers, retinoids, anticoagulants and other medicines.
Know the possible effects
Ultrasound-based treatment may cause significant pain, tenderness, pigment changes, persistent redness or swelling, bruising, or ulceration and erosion. Your provider should discuss expected short-term effects and less common risks for the proposed area.
Promptly contact your provider about severe or worsening pain, blistering or broken skin, marked color change, swelling that concerns you, or symptoms that persist.
Review the manufacturer’s indications, contraindications, precautions and potential adverse events with your provider.
Is Sofwave a facelift alternative?
It may suit some adults seeking a nonsurgical option for selected signs of laxity, lines or wrinkles. It does not reproduce a surgical facelift, and more significant laxity may call for a different approach.
Does the treatment hurt?
Sensation varies and significant pain is a possible adverse event. Integrated contact cooling is part of the system, but you should ask about comfort measures and tell your provider what you feel during treatment.
Will I need time off?
Visible effects may be limited for some people, but redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising or other reactions can affect your plans. Ask what we recommend for your treatment area and schedule.
How many treatments will I need?
Your starting concern, area, response and goals guide the plan. Ask when your result should be assessed and what would justify another session rather than assuming a fixed number.

What does Sofwave cost?
Pricing varies by area and appointment. Review the current Sofwave options in Our booking menu, or call 817-379-9397 to confirm the recommended service and current price.
