An introduction to Sculptra

Support your skin’s
own collagen.

Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid, or PLLA, and helps stimulate collagen production. Its effect develops gradually. We offer Sculptra in Southlake; a consultation helps establish whether it suits your facial concerns and expectations.

01 Changing facial volume

If your face looks less full, discuss how collagen loss may relate to your concerns. Ask which areas and treatment options fit your individual anatomy.

02 Cheek lines

Sculptra is indicated for fine lines and wrinkles in the cheek region. Discuss the changes you notice and the improvement you would consider worthwhile.

03 Smile-line folds

Nasolabial folds run from the sides of the nose toward the mouth. Your provider can assess whether Sculptra is an appropriate option for these contours.

Sculptra is not intended for injection into the lips’ red portion or the area around the eyes. Treatment areas require individual assessment. Read suitability and safety information.

Your features, considered together.
Your next steps, clearly explained.

  1. 01

    Look at the full picture.

  2. 02

    Agree on the treatment.

Review proposed areas, costs, possible sessions, comfort measures, and risks. A trained provider administers the injections after preparing the treatment area.

Give change time.

Early fullness can reflect the injection fluid and swelling. It does not show the final collagen response.

01

The first days

Swelling, tenderness, and bruising may occur. Follow your provider’s instructions, including the massage technique they demonstrate.

02

Over the following weeks

Changes develop gradually. Allow time for assessment before deciding whether additional treatment is appropriate.

03

The longer view

Manufacturer studies report improvement lasting up to two years in some participants. Your response and treatment needs can differ; no duration is guaranteed.

An informed decision

Thoughtful treatment.
Clear expectations.

Suitability matters

Sculptra should not be used with ingredient allergies, severe allergy histories, or a tendency to form keloid or hypertrophic scars. Safety has not been established during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Active skin infection or inflammation requires postponement.

Understand the risks

Possible effects include pain, swelling, redness, bruising, bleeding, and lumps. Nodules can appear later and may require treatment. Rare injection into a blood vessel can cause tissue damage, blindness, or stroke.

Seek immediate medical attention for unusual pain, vision changes, white, gray, or blue skin near an injection site, or stroke symptoms such as sudden weakness or difficulty speaking.

Before you begin

Your questions.
A considered answer.

Ask our team
How is Sculptra different from other fillers?

Sculptra is a PLLA-based injectable that stimulates collagen over time. Hyaluronic acid fillers and calcium-hydroxylapatite Radiesse use different materials. Product choice depends on the area, your goals, and your preference for how changes develop.

Will I see my final result right away?

No. Early fullness can settle before gradual improvement becomes apparent. Discuss your timeline before scheduling, particularly if you are preparing for an event.

How many sessions will I need?

A series may be recommended. Ask how your provider will decide the number and spacing of sessions, how progress will be assessed, and what would prompt a change in plan.

Can Sculptra be dissolved if I change my mind?

Do not assume it can be readily reversed. The FDA notes that non-hyaluronic-acid fillers can be difficult or impossible to remove. Discuss limitations and management of complications before treatment.

What aftercare should I expect?

Manufacturer guidance includes massage after treatment. Ask your provider to demonstrate the technique and confirm your schedule. Get advice on sun exposure, exercise, makeup, and when other skin procedures can safely resume.

How much does Sculptra cost?
